A NEW brand of mouth-watering cocktails have gone on the menu at a world-famous tourist attraction.

The Treehouse at the Alnwick Garden is shaking things up with the launch of six delicious drinks, which were developed by the Duchess of Northumberland, who sipped, stirred, tried and tested each one.

Served in the restaurant, the beverages will range from an Alnwick Rum-based cocktail, called Deadly Jane, to the vodka-filled Delicious and Dirty Jane drinks.

There will also be the Alnwick Garden Cocktail, served in a quirky watering can.

The Duchess said: “I’ve never liked wine, but my children introduced me to vodka which has changed my life.

“I’ve developed this range of cocktails and I hope visitors enjoy them as much as I do.”

David Scott, manager at the Treehouse, worked with the Duchess to create the drinks.

He said: “It has been a complete whirlwind journey – from visiting the finest cocktail houses in London with the Duchess, to spending hours selecting the perfect glasses.

“I just know these cocktails are going to be an exciting addition to our restaurant’s unique appeal.

“To have the Duchess’s name to them is something I feel is vital, as Her Grace has been so passionately involved in the whole process – and we had such fun – we wanted to reflect that in the names.

“Exciting cocktails are something we feel is missing from Alnwick, so we decided to do something about it.

“I think you’ll agree the result is delicious.”
