Drivers test positive for drink

More than 1,500 drivers were breathalysed by police as part of a month-long Northumbria Police crackdown on drink-driving.

A total of 1,532 breath tests were carried out as part of the Think before you drink campaign.

Of those, 94 tested positive or failed to provide a specimen for analysis.
