Dressed to the nines for the Duchess’s High School Year 11 Prom

Waiting for Video...

Students at Duchess’s Community High School, Alnwick, donned their gladrags last night for the Year 11 prom.

The mainly 16-year-olds gathered at the school in their posh frocks and smart suits before heading off for a party night at St James’s Park, Newcastle.

Mrs Gair, one of the heads of Year 11, said: “Tonight is a big evening of celebration for all the hard work the students have put in over the last year, right at the end of their GSCE examinations.

“We all gather early in the evening and half the town turns out to see all the students in their finery. We’ll now head down on the buses to St James’s Park and we’ll return to Alnwick hopefully before 1am, fingers crossed!”
