Donation to help Amble Boys’ Club

Amble Boys’ Club has received a £50 donation from a locally-based women’s group.

The Amble Thursday Club has selected the Boys’ Club as its local charity of the year because of work being done to bring the Percy Street facility up to a standard that the whole community can enjoy.

The money will be put towards the redecorating fund that is being generated at present to give the club a new look.

Mike Jones, Amble Boys’ Club treasurer, said: “We appreciate any funding that we get from the community, especially from unexpected sources like this.

“We are always looking for funding to help with the regeneration of the club so donations like this are kindly welcomed.”

A Boys’ Club representative is set to give a talk to the Thursday Club, as well as donating an hour of basic first aid training through Amble-based Azea Limited.
