Diamond day for couple

Norma and Selby Douglas diamond wedding.

This happy couple celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on Thursday.

Norma and Selby Douglas, who are 81 and 85 respectively, are from North Broomhill.

They first met at a Legion dance in Amble and married on March 21, 1953.

The couple have four children – Stephen, Martyn, Dorothy and Tracy – as well as six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

They celebrated their diamond anniversary on Sunday at the Railway Inn, at Acklington, with their family and enjoyed a Sunday lunch.
