Two former Alnmouth pub landlords are celebrating 60 years of marriage.
Don and Jean Hume were married in Wallsend on Boxing Day, 1953.
In 1955, they moved to Alnwick where Don worked for his father as a haulage contractor and later a coal merchant, which was his job for 25 years.
The couple then bought the Red Lion pub in Alnmouth and retired after 10 years but stayed in the village where Don, 79, still works as a taxi driver.
He and Jean, 80, have three children, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and will be celebrating their 60 years of marriage with a party in the new year.
