Crash closes stretch of A1

Three vehicle crash on the A1 near Felton on Monday November 12th.

A stretch of the A1 is expected to be closed for a number of hours, after a three-vehicle collision this morning.

The incident occurred at 7.43am near to Felton.

The road is currently closed in both directions near to the Felton bypass and diversions are in place.

Police, fire and ambulance services are currently at the scene, while an eye witness said that the Great North Air Ambulance was also present.
