Drugs and counterfeit clothing have been seized after police executed warrants in Alnwick.

Two searches were carried out at homes at Sycamore Avenue and Cawledge View as part of the operation, recovering 11 cannabis plants, a small amount of cocaine and counterfeit clothing.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested for cultivating cannabis plants and a man, aged 35, received a caution for possession of drugs.

Inspector Paul Truscott, of Alnwick Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Drug use, cultivation or supply all cause misery to our communities and will not be tolerated.

“We will continue to proactively target the areas that are causing residents the most concern. Anyone suspected of being involved in illegal activity should know that police will continue to target them.

“Anyone who is concerned about crime or disorder where they live should contact their local Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101 ext 69191.”
