Coastal teams get together for forum

Two coastal groups are teaming up once again.

The Northumberland Coast AONB Partnership and the Berwickshire and North Northumberland Coast European Marine Site are holding their Joint Annual Forum this month.

The event, at Berwick Town Hall on Thursday, October 18, is open to anyone with an interest in the coast.

The forum will provide an opportunity to review past work and future challenges and learn about grey seals at the Farne Islands, the fascinating geology of the region and the workings of Eyemouth harbour.

Those attending will also to be able to hear presentations on the national perspective of the AONBs, an update on the North East Cetacean project and progress on Marine Protected Areas.

The day also offers a chance to network with others with an interest in the conservation and enhancement of the AONB.

Places are strictly limited, but for further details, or to register to attend the forum, contact Jessica Turner on 01670 622648, or jessica.turner@northumberland.gov.uk
