Christmas posting dates

CHRISTMAS Day may be more than three months away but the first deadlines for sending mail abroad are already approaching.

Royal Mail has announced the following recommended last posting dates for overseas surface mail:

October 1 - All non-European destinations except Middle East, South Africa, Far East, Hong Kong, USA and Canada

October 6 - Far East (except Hong Kong and Singapore) and Middle East

October 20 - South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore, USA and Canada

November 10 - Eastern Europe, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Malta and Iceland

November 24 - Western Europe
