Young people from across the county have been honoured for a range of achievements at the third annual Northumberland’s Finest Awards.
The event was planned and managed by Northumberland County Council’s youth service team, with funding and support from the employability and skills service and LMAPS (the Local Multi-Agency Problem Solving partnership).
The young people were nominated in 12 categories before an independent panel of judges picked three shortlisted nominees for each category, including a winner. All three groups then did a presentation.
Coun Robert Arckless, head of children’s services, said: “This was a fantastic evening and it is really a great achievement to win this award and it’s something that all the young people can add to their CVs. Each of the young people has a great story to tell and it’s important that we celebrate them.”
