Car keys stolen in Northumberland

Police are appealing for information after car keys were stolen from a Land Rover in Northumberland.

At around 4.45pm on Friday, December 13, the driver of a red Land Rover was parked in the entrance to a field, just after the A697 junction at Weldon Bridge, when he was involved in an altercation with another motorist.

The first man got out of his Land Rover, leaving the keys in the ignition, and the second man took the keys and drove off.

The second man is described as being in his 40s, around 5ft 10ins tall and well built. He was driving a large family-style car.

There was no collision and no one was injured in the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who thinks they may have witnessed the incident or has any information to contact them on 101 ext 69191.
