Bring and take sale at car rally next week

People attending Brunton Rally and Traction Engine Show on Sunday, October 21, will have the opportunity to visit a stall which is giving away everything on show, free of charge.

Local Freegle groups are holding a Bring and Take stall to publicise local community recycling schemes.

Freegle recycling groups were set up to give things away rather than send them to landfill.

During the past few years, members of Seahouses and Alnwick, Cramlington and Morpeth groups have given away everything from a Braille machine to a plasma ball. All went to new homes.

Freegle started in 2009 and its aims are to reduce waste by re-using things, to save resources and ease the burden on landfills by gifting them rather than throwing them away.

The organisers of Brunton Rally kindly offered a table in the marquee to publicise the scheme.
