Body of missing blind spaniel found

The search for a missing blind English springer spaniel has ended in sadness, after its body was found yesterday.
Kip disappeared more than two weeks ago on Druridge Bay beach.
It sparked a massive hunt for the liver-and-white-coloured four-year-old.
But yesterday night, his owner Sylvia Linnett, who lives near Acklington, broke the news that his body had been found washed ashore.
Posting a message on doglost.co.uk, she wrote: ‘I am sorry that I have to give you all bad news.
‘It would seem that Kip went for a lovely, long, last swim after his run and did not come back.
‘His body was washed ashore this afternoon at Low Hauxley and it is apparent that he has been in the sea the whole time.
‘Your efforts to find him have been marvellous and it is only because of that I have him back.
‘I have met some wonderful new friends and hope to give them all a special mention, but tonight I must say a huge thank you to Tracy, who found him, and her husband Chris.
‘They have taken such good care of Kip and me tonight.
‘Sleep Tight and God Bless my darling boy, I shall miss you so much xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx’.
