Bid to tackle village parking problems continues
Speaking at the annual parish meeting last week, county councillor Kate Cairns said: “There has been a meeting with county-council officers, AONB representatives and the parish council parking task force regarding a series of measures.
“These include reducing the speed limit and installing new gateway infrastructure on entry to the village; installing posts to prevent parking on the verges of the approach roads to Craster; extending the quarry car park; opening up the Turn Field more often; and looking at the potential introduction of a residents’ parking scheme. I will continue to work with the parish council and residents to ensure all options are explored to find the best solution to alleviate the village’s parking issues.”
