A service of thanksgiving and a parade to celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of Britain will be held in Alnwick at the weekend.
The service will be held in St Michael’s Church, Alnwick, at 2.30pm on Sunday.
Following the service, the parade will form up in Bailiffgate and march through Alnwick, led by the Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
The Duchess of Northumberland, the Lord Lieutenant of the Northumberland, will take the salute in the town centre.
Parade personnel will consist of RAF Boulmer officers and airmen, Air Training Corps cadets, veterans and standard bearers.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the church service.
The Battle of Britain was fought during the summer and autumn of 1940 and was the first major campaign to be fought entirely by air forces.
RAF Boulmer this year celebrated its 60th anniversary as an air defence station.
