Hard-working individuals who have been committed to the agricultural industry were presented with long service awards at the 125th Glendale Show last month.

Accolades were presented by Michael Walton, president of the Glendale Agricultural Society, to three employees who have each served 25 years at the Carr-Ellison Farms.

These were Mark Brown, Michael Keen and Vince Birnie, all from Alnwick.

Presentations were also made to Sarah and Stuart Nelson.

Sarah will be standing down as the company secretary of the Society and the project manager of the Children’s Countryside Day.

Stuart, who stood down earlier this year as show director, has been an integral part of the Society and has ensured the smooth running of the show for many years.

Mr Walton said the awards highlight the ‘hard work and dedication’ of individuals who have served the Society and community.
