Organisers of a north Northumberland arts festival, one of the major events in the area’s annual calendar, have made an appeal for volunteers.
The Alnmouth Arts Festival takes place in June and this year attracted around 3,500 people to the seaside village over the course of the weekend.
Chairman Bill Bourne recognises the support of the village across the weekend, but added: “However, organising a major event like this involves a great deal of work during the 10 months prior to the festival.
“At the moment, we have a committee of seven people each with a major role and some with two. This is simply not enough and we need more people to join us if the Arts Festival is to continue.
“The Committee needs people who have management, organisational, marketing, IT skills and plenty of enthusiasm.”
