Antiques to go on sale at special fair

A luxury antiques weekend is being held at the Macdonald Linden Hall Hotel, in Longhorsley, later this year.

The event is organised by The Antiques Dealers Fair Limited.

The fair has a reputation for creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere with stylishly-decorated stands.

Items will range from 18th century paintings to jewellery, furniture and 19th century sculpture, as well as contemporary fine art and sculpture.

Highlights include a Regency mahogany dining table by Gillows of Lancaster, dating from around 1805, and selling for £11,500.

Charities benefiting from the fair will be The Art Fund and St Oswald’s Hospice.

It will be held on March 8 (11am–6pm), March 9 (10.30am–6pm) and March 10 (10.30am– 5pm). Tickets are £5, including catalogue and re-admission.
