Bell View Help at Home has announced the appointment of 10 members of staff as care workers based out of its Belford head office.

The service, which offers an independent and bespoke personal-care service for older people in north Northumberland and is Care Quality Commission registered, was officially launched yesterday by the charity Bell View.

Manager David Robertson said: “This new venture really is all about locals caring for locals. Our aim is to help people maintain their independence and stay in their own home and community for as long as possible.”

Everyone cared for will have a personally-tailored plan and, as well as practical support, the scheme will provide social contact and reassurance. The service will operate from Whittingham in the south to Ford and Etal in the north and across to Seahouses and Bamburgh at the coast.
