Air ambulance called after woman hurt in fall

A woman was airlifted to hospital this evening after falling in north Northumberland.

The woman injured both legs in the incident at Swinhoe, near Beadnell.

North East Ambulance paramedics requested the help of the Great North Air Ambulance and she was flown to the RVI in Newcastle.

Her condition on arrival was described as stable.
