A year of giving and donations in the town

Alnwick Town Council made a number of donations, totalling £8,500, to groups in the town in 2012.

The Playhouse Trust received £1,000 while the Citizen’s Advice Bureau was given £800.

£500 went to the Northumberland Theatre Company, Alnwick Community Centre, Alnwick Young People’s Association, Lionheart Radio & Media, Hospice Care North Northumberland, Carers Northumberland and Alnwick Spring Show.

Northumberland Credit Union, Alnwick Sporting Club and Friends of the Bullfield Community Orchard received £400.

Further donations of £350 went to the district Sports Council, Alnwick Town Football Club and Alnwick Amateur Boxing Club, £300 to RE-NU-IT, £250 to NE Equality and Diversity Ltd, £200 to Choysez and £100 to Alnwick Arthritis Care and Alnwick Stroke Club.
