A relaxed setting for Sunday worship

This Sunday sees the launch of a new cafe church in Wooler.

Hosted and run by Glendale Crossing Places, led by Baptist minister Bill Eugster and Rev Roy Searle, Cafe Church will be held every fourth Sunday of the month at the No 1 Hotel and Wine Lounge, on High Street, from 11am to 12.30 pm.

The venture is part of the cafe-church network, founded several years ago by the aptly-named Rev Cid Latty, which has been established nationwide in various venues.

Designed to relate and engage with people who wouldn’t normally attend church services, each cafe church programme will explore different aspects of life and faith, including issues of local interest and concern in a relaxed environment.

This Sunday, the first 50 cups of coffee (or tea) will be compliments of No 1 and Cafe Church.
