A mark of success
Amble First celebrating their recent Ofsted success.
Delighted staff and students at Amble First School, Edwin Street, are celebrating an encouraging Ofsted report. The inspection took place in December and inspectors found all aspects of the school to be good.
Headteacher Joyce Jenkins said she was ‘thrilled’ and was ‘particularly delighted’ with comments noting the effectiveness of the school’s positive ethos.
Feedback included pupils of all abilities achieving well and making good progress.
There was also recognition for ‘good relationships’ and ‘caring attitudes’ among pupils which makes the school a ‘happy and safe place to learn’ and a ‘strong teamwork between teachers and teaching assistants to support pupils’.
Mrs Jenkins said: “We were thrilled that the inspectors found all aspects of the school to be good.
I believe that this is a fitting recognition of the determination and enthusiasm of every member of staff to make the absolute best provision possible for every pupil.
We are now ready to move forward even further.
We believe that the school is a place where everyone knows that they can achieve well and grow, sharing the belief and trust that together we can reach what we are aiming for.”
