Renowned cook Jane Lovett is whipping up some food fit for the gods.

She is putting on a cookery demonstration to raise much-needed funds for Holy Cross Church in Chatton.

Jane’s sous chef for the day is vicar Jeffrey Smith. The Easy Easter Recipes demonstration includes a buffet-style lunch and is being held on Thursday, April 10, in Chatton Village Hall.

All money raised on the day will be used to match Heritage Lottery Fund grant funding for urgent repairs to the church, listed ‘at risk’ by English Heritage.

Jeffrey said: “We are hoping to raise £2,000 on the day, which will help to restore Chatton church.”

Tickets cost £20 per person, and can either be booked by registering on Jane’s website, www.janelovett.com, or call either 01668 215421 or 01668 213568. People can also register at Chatton shop.
