LIFEBOATS from Amble have been launched in the last few minutes, to rescue an RSPB vessel after it ran aground on rocks at Coquet Island.
Nine passengers are on board the pleasure craft Shokwave, which conducts marine tours from the harbour.
A spokesman for Humber Coastguard said it was believed that the propellor had become fouled prior to the boat hitting the rocks.
There was no intake of water and no risk to those on board.
Both the inshore and all-weather lifeboats are currently on scene.
