Northumberland County Council is hosting a Landlord’s Development Forum in partnership with private landlords and letting agents in the private sector.

The forum will take place in Alnwick, at the Council Chamber, Old Post Office, Clayport Street, on Wednesday 21 November and will start promptly at 6pm. The aim of the forum is to share information and ideas and to promote the views of private landlords and agents to improve housing in the county.

The forum will include presentations about: loan sharks and illegal money lending; credit unions; and welfare reform and local housing allowance.

There will also be an opportunity to network with other landlords and a representative of the National Landlords’ Association.

Councillor Tom Brechany, executive member for planning, housing and regeneration at Northumberland County Council said: “Northumberland County Council wants to make sure the opinions and ideas of landlords and agents are heard. Forums like this one are a great way of sharing best practise to help improve housing in the county.”

Landlords and agents wishing to attend should contact Philip Hanmer or Victoria Ledger by Monday 19 November on 01670 623053 or e-mail: victoria.ledger@northumberland.gov.uk
