This week’s dog of the week is an American bulldog who is potentially looking for an experienced owner to take him in.
Stephen Wylie, from large-dog charity SHAK, which is this year’s Jam Jar Army beneficiary, said: “Kennedy is a young American bulldog that is currently learning how to play.
“He loves to play with toys and is gradually learning to bring them back.
“We are potentially looking for an experienced American bulldog home for this boy to call his own.

The Jam Jar Army campaign, launched by the Gazette with the originator of the idea, author Judith O’Reilly, is now in its third year, having raised more than £25,000 in its first two years for HospiceCare North Northumberland and the Alnwick Playhouse Youth Theatre.
We want businesses, organisations, families and individuals all to hold collections for SHAK this year as we aim to match or surpass the last two campaigns.
And so far, so good, as the total this week has made it past the quarter mark as we aim for a total of £10,000.
In the coffers at the moment is £2,786.59.
