John hands over command
John, in post since July 2014, said: “Ever since I came to RAF Boulmer in the mid-90s as a student I wanted to return to command the School of Aerospace Battle Management.
My family and I have a real affinity for the area and the local community. To come back here for another two years really was a privilege.

We have increased our pass rates, increased our throughput of students and trained personnel from all three UK Armed Services, our NATO allies and partners from further afield.
“With nearly 600 students a year, we couldn’t do what we do without the support of the rest of the RAF Boulmer staff and I would like to thank them for helping us to succeed. Leaving the SABM is bittersweet but I wish my replacement, Wing Commander Tim Brown, all the very best for his tenure in command.”
