Special events are being planned as part of the Christmas light switch-ons in Amble and Alnmouth.
A family fun afternoon is being held in Amble on Sunday, November 23, from 2pm on Queen Street. There will be plenty of activities, including a visit from Father Christmas.
There will also be a fun fair and stalls in the Town Square and a craft fair in St Cuthbert’s Hall. The parade and Christmas lights switch-on will take place later in the day.
This year there will be a circus theme to the events.
The procession will leave The Wellwood at 5pm and walk down Queen Street to the Town Square where there will be stalls and music.

A Christmas craft fair is being held in Alnmouth’s Hindmarsh Hall on Saturday, November 29, from 10am to 6pm, with a break for the lights switch-on at 5pm.
Entry is free and home-made refreshments will be on sale until 4pm. There will be a range of stalls and money raised from the fair will go towards hall improvements.
