Hunt is on for medal relatives

Northumbria Police and the North East Police History Society are trying to trace relatives of the owners of 50 Second World War Special Constable long-service medals.

They are thought to belong to veterans who served in the First World War, then took on Special Constable posts in the Second. Northumbria Police staff found them in storage.
