An annual art exhibition is being held later this month, but in a different venue to normal.
Craster Art Club’s August Bank Holiday display had looked as though it would be cancelled as the Craster Memorial Hall underwent renovation work.
But the show will still go on as members have been able to display their work in the Village Hall, Howick.
Work will be for sale, framed and unframed, in a variety of media, such as oil, acrylic, watercolour and mixed media. Also available will be cards printed from the artist’s own work.
The exhibition will take place as planned on Saturday, August 25, Sunday, August 26, and Monday, August 27. The event will run from 11am to 5pm each day.
Entry is free and visitors will be offered tea and cakes.
Charitable donations will go to the Great North Air Ambulance, which is the club’s chosen charity.
Club chairman Maureen Stephenson said: “The Village Hall, Howick, is a beautiful, relaxed location and an excellent space to display the work of club members.
“We are looking forward to welcoming visitors over the Bank Holiday Weekend.”
Craster Art Club meets on Mondays, currently at the Village Hall, Howick and there are currently a few spaces available. Contact 01665 712957.
