HOSPITAL: Sixty years of offering help

On behalf of the League of Friends of the Alnwick Hospital, may I extend my grateful thanks to all those kind people, businesses, organisations and volunteers who supported our annual fund-raising coffee morning held in the Northumberland Hall.

A special thank you to the ladies from Alnwick Inner Wheel and to the staff from Alnwick Hospital who so kindly helped us, and to George Stokoe for making external announcements.

This was a special coffee morning for us, being the 60th anniversary of the formation of the League of Friends of the Alnwick Hospital.

Through your kindness, generosity and donations, we raised the marvellous sum of £1,240.

This money will help us to support your local hospital when we receive requests for the purchase of equipment required for use by the consultants and staff, all to the benefit of patients.

To commemorate the 60th anniversary, our president Her Grace The Duchess of Northumberland recently presented to Alnwick Hospital an ECG machine for use in the outpatients department.
