A COUNTY-wide review is underway to assess the buildings that are used for electoral polling stations.
Local authorities are required to divide their parliamentary constituencies into polling districts, designate a polling place for each district and review these arrangements at least every four years.
A review is now due and must be completed by the end of 2011.
A list of the current polling places used by the council can be inspected or obtained from the election office at County Hall, Morpeth, ring 01670 533307 or email email@example.com
Electors within Northumberland may make representations on the location of the current premises.
The council would particularly welcome comments and/or representations from any person with a disability or groups representing such individuals.
It would also be helpful if individuals or bodies making representations could, if possible, give alternative places that may be used as polling places.
Comments should be submitted to the election office by July 29.
