COMEDY superstar Michael McIntyre will be taking to the stage to test out his new material prior to his third UK tour.
Work in Progress is the title of the show, which takes place over two nights and is guaranteed to make you laugh.
It is a prelude to the celebrity comedian’s forthcoming tour which has sold out at numerous venues across the country.
The floppy-haired, middle-class, funny man has become one of the UK’s most popular comedians in recent years, showcasing his observational humour on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.
And he follows in the footsteps of Lee Evans and Jack Dee who have also performed at the venue.
He has written his autobiogrpahy, Life and Laughing, and was a judge on Britain’s Got Talent last year but quit to concentrate on this year’s tour.
Tickets for the event go on sale to Friends of the Maltings on Saturday, at 10am with a set number available for those in the group.
They can be bought in person at the box office or by phone but priority will be given to in-person sales.
General ticket sales are from 2pm on Sunday, and are in person at the box office only.
For both sales there will be a limit of two tickets per person and four per household.
Once tickets have been bought they can be collected on the night of the show.
