Green light for plans

PLANS to build a porch on a Longframlington bed and breakfast have been approved, despite being recommended for refusal.

The application for Elyhaugh Farm included Listed Building Consent, change of use to part bed and breakfast and part self-catering, internal changes to cater for self-catering guests and a porch to be used for outdoor gear.

But planners were concerned that the porch was not in keeping with the building and would detract from its character.

However members approved the plans.
