Get on board with Seahouses RNLI

Volunteers at Seahouses RNLI lifeboat station are inviting would-be crew members and fund-raisers to join them this Saturday to learn more about what it takes to be part of their life-saving team.

The RNLI is holding a Volunteer Recruitment Day at the station from noon to 3pm in a bid to attract new team members.

Operational volunteers are needed to help crew and launch the lifeboats, but people are also needed to help in the lifeboat station shop and with other fund-raising activity.

The RNLI is particularly hoping to find new lifeboat crew members who are available in Seahouses during the day.

To qualify as lifeboat crew, volunteers need to be: Aged 17-50; Living or working in Seahouses, Beadnell or Bamburgh; Physically fit; Not colour blind.
