Yorkshire Building Society’s Alnwick branch is joining others around the country to ‘get behind the daffodil’ this March.

Staff are encouraging people in the community to give a donation and wear a daffodil pin, in support of Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal.

Every £20 raised during the Society’s Hour of Need campaign will help fund one hour of Marie Curie nursing care.

The Society is aiming to raise £1million by December 2016.

Thanks to the support of the local community, the branch on Bondgate Within has raised £780 since the start of the campaign in 2014 – which equates to more than 39 hours of care.
