Residents of Glendale can have their computer queries answered at two workshops next month.
They are set to be held in the Cheviot Centre in Wooler, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, on Wednesday, March 1 and 8.
In partnership with Four Housing, part of the Bernicia Group, and Northumberland Adult Learning Service, Glendale Gateway Trust is hosting the information sessions to assist members of the community who want to learn how to do something on their computer or tablet or who have a specific IT question they would like answered.
The first workshop on March 1 will focus on setting up an email account, the basics of sending and receiving emails, and doing it safely.
The second workshop, on March 8, will be aimed at advising people of how to stay safe online, how to browse, shop, sell and bank safely and with confidence.
It will also tackle how to use Microsoft Word and Excel for basic tasks.
There will also be an opportunity during each workshop for attendees to ask the technicians their IT-related questions.
All attendees will receive a guide to take home which captures the information covered in the two sessions, but which will also provide useful information about using the internet and local services which can be accessed.
The workshops are free to attend and will be followed by a light buffet lunch.
