A FREE family-fun event encouraging healthier living takes place in Amble next week.
Homes for Northumberland (HfN) is hosting a Breath of Fresh Air in the town’s Boys Club on Percy Drive on Tuesday.
Running from 11am to 3pm, it will feature health checks, healthy food demonstrations, sports taster sessions, dancing, bicycle maintenance, a lantern-making workshop, Hallowe’en crafts and face-painting.
Ray Boycott, managing director at HfN, said: “Following on from the success of our previous Breath of Fresh Air events in Blyth and Alnwick, we are delighted to be hosting our next event in Amble.
“HfN is committed to going the extra mile for tenants and our free health events are designed to help show tenants, and those living in the local community, how they can live healthier lifestyles.
“We have something for everyone on the day, so come along and enjoy a fun day out with us.”
HfN is working alongside its partners Northumberland County Council, North Country Leisure, Amble and Coquet Children’s Centres (Action for Children), Real Food Works, Northumberland Care Trust, Sustrans, Northumbria Police and Take Action Positive Steps to bring the event to the town.
