Jim Welsh was the judge for Alnwick and District Camera Club’s first open projected image competition of the year.

There were 82 images in this competition covering the usual wide range of subjects such as landscapes, townscapes, natural history, portrait, abstract and close-up photography. Commended images were Mighty Pillars by Val Atkinson, White Face by Micheal Mundy and Six Ways to Eat An Ice Cream by Gerry Simpson.

Highly commended images were produced by Micheal Mundy with Someone to Watch Over Me, Dru Dodd with Lighthouses, Stars, Galaxies and Northern Lights and Gerry Simpson with Red Tunnel.

Micheal Mundy’s Broken Toy was in fourth place. Third went to new member David Burn with Imagine. Dawn Groves achieved second place with Pebbles. First place went to David Burn with St Mary’s Dawn.
