AN Alnwick company has now appointed its first employee as a direct result of its hugely successful recruitment fair, which took place at the end of last month.

LYNX Fishing held the event at the Northumberland Hall on April 26 and the company is delighted to announce that they have appointed Mark Spoors.

CEO Andy Petherick said: “During the recruitment fair we met a high number of exceptional individuals.

“It was clear from the outset that Mark was a high-quality candidate and we had no hesitation in offering him a job to assist the team as we get set up in our new offices.

“Mark is the first of many appointments we will be making over the coming weeks as a result of our first job fair as we work towards a market launch.”

The second round interviews are now on-going at LYNX Fishing’s new office and manufacturing premises on Willowburn Industrial Estate, and a decision will be made over the next few weeks regarding the remainder of the applicants. All applicants will be informed accordingly.

As revealed by the Gazette, LYNX Fishing has developed a revolutionary new joining technology; Precision Compression Technology completely eliminates the need for knots and all of the associated weaknesses.

LYNX will launch the product to international trade at the EFTTEX (European Fishing Tackle Trade Exhibition) show in Paris on June 1, 2 and 3.
