Sheep dog trial results

The Northumberland Sheep Dog League held a nursery trial at Lilburn, Wooler.

Gordon Rogerson, from Wooler, judged 26 dogs working lively mule hoggs that were very testing over a good hillside course.

Results: 1 Emma Gray, from Elsdon, with Blue, 76/100 points; 2 Alan Clark, Longhoughton, with Cap, 66; 3 Bevis Jordan, Whitfield, with Sage, 65; 4 Paul Turnbull, Rothbury, with Bill, 64; 5 Peter Telfer, Haydon Bridge, with Bess, 60; 6 Dominic Naylor, Wooler, with Sid, 58.

Best novice was Chris Tait, from Wooler, with Blue.

Best new handler was Sophie Hemmings. from Corbridge, with Flo.
