Club puts prevention of pet illness at heart

We all want to do our best by our pets, and our new Healthy Pet Club can help with just that.

As a practice we are committed to a pro-active approach to animal healthcare, preferring to prevent ill health, rather than waiting to treat your pet when it becomes sick or injured.

Key elements of this include vaccinations, neutering, worming and treatment for other external parasites, such as fleas and ticks.

We also recommend regular dental checks as dental disease can cause unseen internal problems for your pet.

The Healthy Pet Club will give you simple and cost-effective access to the best possible preventative care for your pet, and peace of mind that your pet’s health is in safe hands.

There are tailored schemes for puppies, kittens, dogs, cats and rabbits, and even a MiHorse Club equivalent.

The club can offer annual booster vaccination, worming and flea treatments, a comprehensive six-month health check every year, and discounts on food, medication and other services and products.

Alnorthumbria Vets is a mixed practice that treats all species of domestic animals, and a few wild ones.

Within the practice, the vets have developed special interests so there are separate teams dedicated to the care of farm animals, horses and small animals (dogs, cats and other small pets).

We have nine centres across Northumberland, from Wooler in the north to Ponteland in the south, offering a 24-hour service.

The vets in the practice are supported by veterinary nurses, and the practice has been approved by the Royal College as a Veterinary Nurse Training Practice.
