As part of the Heritage Lottery-funded Belford – a Rural Area at War project, Belford Hidden History Group has organised a visit to the Fusiliers Museum of Northumberland.

The trip to the Alnwick Castle-based attraction is on Wednesday at 2.30pm.

The museum tells the story of the Fusiliers and their unbroken record of service from 1674 to the present day.

Most of the local soldiers who fought during the First World War were in the Fusiliers.

Exclusive use of the museum is on offer for the afternoon. There is no charge for this and it is open to all, not just Belfordians.

Participants can either meet in Belford Market Place at 1.50pm or meet outside the Castle at 2.20pm.

Contact 07761 470591 to register for the trip.
