Charity calls for wildflife legacies

The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has today awarded a confirmed grant� of �247,700 to the Northumberland Wildlife Trust for an important conservation project that will help protect the iconic red squirrel across the North East.

During Will for Wildlife Week, running until Sunday, Northumberland Wildlife Trust is encouraging wildlife-lovers to leave a legacy that will help protect species and habitats for future generations.

The Trust manages special wild places across the county.
