Emergency crews called to crash near Rothbury

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to a crash between Rothbury and Thropton this morning.

The emergency sercices were called to the incident at Pondicherry, on the B6341, at 11.10am after a collision involving a Fiat.

It is believed that only minor injuries were caused to the occupant of the car and paramedics were at the scene.

Two fire crews from Alnwick were also called but were not needed when they arrived.

Diversions are in place while the collision is dealt with, however the road is expected to be open soon.
