Have your say

Homework help is on hand for north Northumberland children going back to school this week.

As well as books, Northumberland libraries have free online resources that are available to use at home 24 hours a day, perfect for students to do their homework even when the libraries are closed.

Britannica Online encyclopaedias have versions for 5 to 11-year-olds and 11 to 18-year-olds which can be searched online, helping with topics such as religion, science, history and sport.

The resource is free for library members to use and can be accessed at home as well as in the library.

Other resources include Who Next? which tells you who writes like your favourite children’s author. Who Else Writes Like? offers this service for older students and adults, and both resources can be used for free at home or in the library.

Library members can use these resources at home or in the library; all they need is their library card number. It’s free to join your local library – visit www.mylibrary.co.uk
