Crowds flocked to a massive VW festival for an action-packed weekend of live music and entertainment.

The Mighty Dub Fest was staged at Alnwick Pastures, in the shadow of the famous castle.

The annual event is the most northern VW weekend festival in England.

It attracted locals and visitors from further afield, who either camped out or came for the day. And there was plenty going on to keep Dub Fest fans busy.

Entertainment included a break-dancing performance and workshop, kids’ crafts and a dog show, while one of the highlights was a performance from professional BMX flatland champion and Guinness World Record holder Lee Musselwhite.

There was also a range of trade stalls and catering vans, with some goods being sold from VW vans.

Dub Fest featured an eclectic collection of live music, with bands and solo artists coming from far and wide, as well as closer to home.

Acts included We Steal Flyers, Hannah Lamb, The Dust Town Dogs, Gaz Daniels and Dave Mannings, among many others. There was a party on Saturday night with a hippy, flower-power theme.

It was the second year that the event has been held at the Pastures, having moved from Druridge Bay Country Park.
