More than 200 children took part in the Flodden 1513 Ecomuseum Big Dig at Ford Moss.
They tried their hand at a variety of archaeological activities.
The dig took place in front of the ruined miners’ cottages. Pottery, glass, clay pipes, fragments of children’s toys and animal bones were among the many finds.
They will be recorded at the next meeting of the Flodden Young Archaeologists’ Club on Saturday, July 12, from 10am to noon.
